Art
The facilities at Blackfriars and King Street provide many opportunities for those who do not study Art as an examination subject. During the scheduled Activities time on Thursday afternoons, and at weekends, there are Photography activities and Art and Design workshops open to all who wish to take advantage of them.
Regular visits are paid to London galleries and to other venues. Overseas trips are also arranged, a Biennial trip to Venice with another European city each year in between.
The Department operates an Artist-in-Residence scheme, which gives an insight into the working methods of professional practitioners.
Pupils’ work is on display throughout the year, with the major exhibition being held during King’s Week.
