The King's Foundation
The King's School Foundation exists to help the School strengthen its financial endowment and to enable major development plans to be fulfilled. Each year the School allocates over £1m of current income to Scholarships and Bursaries. The Foundation seeks to increase this provision so as to benefit an even wider number of young people who, otherwise, would not be able to attend the School. The Foundation also makes a significant contribution to other projects.
Great schools do not stand still: they develop. But what does ‘development’ mean? We believe the purpose of development is to equip the school to fulfil its vision – a vision that hinges on providing the educational opportunities young people need if they are to become the inspirational adults of tomorrow.
‘We intend our fundraising to be engaging and relevant. Giving to a school’s future should be rewarding.’ Nick Lyons, Chairman, The King’s Foundation
Currently, the Foundation is in the pre-launch stage of an ambitious 10 year campaign, which is critically important to the future of King’s. This will include some major developments alongside bursaries for talented and deserving pupils.
