Music

King's is well known for the quality and range of its musical activities and generous scholarships are available for talented boys and girls. See: Music Scholarships.

There are four choirs, a symphony orchestra, many chamber groups and an active Jazz Club. There are several major concerts each term as well as regular informal concerts. Overseas tours are now a regular event. In 2006 the Crypt Choir went to New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong; in 2008 and 2011 they visited the United States. A tour to China is planned for 2013.

Individual tuition is available in all instruments and in singing. Over half the pupils in the School have music lessons.

The new Edred Wright Music School opened in January 2009.
