Departments
The academic side of the School is organised in departments. The core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science are studied by all up to GCSE. Optional subjects are available at all levels and in the Sixth Form pupils have a free choice of subjects. There is flexibility of choice within certain practical restraints.

At all levels there is a curriculum extension programme to broaden pupils' intellectual horizons and to go beyond examination subjects.
Most of the classrooms are within the Precincts, many in historic buildings, but all equipped with interactive whiteboards and access to the internet. Some Departments, including Art (at Blackfriars and St Augustine's), CDT (in St Radegunds) and Physical Education (at Blore's Recreation centre), are situated nearby.
