OKS appointed president of Kent County Cricket Club 2017

Former pupil Charles Rowe (MO 1965-70) has been appointed president of Kent County Cricket Club for 2017.

Charles has scored 6 centuries and 30 half-centuries in his 11 year cricket career, also taking 128 wickets with his off spin. He spent eight years at Kent and 3 years at Glamorgan before his retirement in 1984. He was capped by Kent in 1977 and Glamorgan in 1983.

Charles opened the batting in the side that won the County Championship and B&H Cup in 1978 before he moved on to a successful career in London.

He will succeed Lady Kingsdown who steps down after 2 years in the role.
