Under 15s Complete Unbeaten Season7th December 2009
The Under 15 Rugby team capped a fine season by winning the Kent Cup. In a well-contested match at Gravesend Rugby Club, they defeated Dartford Grammar School 32-5. Little separated the two sides at half-time, when the score was 10-5 to King’s, thanks to a try from Fred Dakin and a penalty from Charlie Kingsman. In the second half, tries from Fred Catterall, Toby Sinclair and Dom Hamlyn enabled King’s to end comfortable winners, despite strong Dartford pressure.
The win helped the team to an unbeaten season. They have won all fifteen of their matches, scoring 447 points (including 66 tries) and conceding only 63. Louis Guitton was the leading try scorer with 11 tries, and player of the season Charlie Kingsman was the top scorer with 164 points. Arthur Chilcott led the team superbly as Captain.
