Sitting the exams at The King’s School Canterbury (UK based applicants)
For applicants attending The King’s School Entrance Exams in person on Saturday 4th October 2025 from 9am, the following gives an idea of what to expect on the day:
· Arrival in the Pupils’ Social Centre
· Welcome and introduction by Senior Staff
· Online examinations (1 hour 50 minutes)
· Optional tour of the School
· Lunch
· Mathematics paper (40 minutes)
· English paper (40 minutes)
· Interviews and refreshments in the Pupils’ Social Centre
All applicants should be accompanied to and from the school for drop off and collection, by a parent of guardian and should arrive at King’s at 9am. Please ensure that applicants bring their passport with them for verification.
Tours will be available for parents whilst the exams are in progress and candidates are free to leave after their interview.
The dress code for candidates is smart casual (school uniform is not compulsory) and all candidates should bring basic stationery including a calculator. Dictionaries are NOT permitted in these exams. Scrap paper is allowed, and use of calculator is only permitted for the Mathematics paper.
