Year 12 Entry (Sixth Form)

Each year approximately 50 pupils join the School in the Sixth Form. Please find below a summary of the process; for full guidance we recommend you also click on the Admissions Procedure and Frequently Asked Questions panel.

Visiting the School
Individual visits include a tour of the school with a current pupil and a meeting with the Director of Admissions. Open Days are also held on a Saturday morning in September and May either at King’s or online. Dates and other details are published on the website in advance. Please contact the Admissions Office to make appointments.

Registration
It is necessary to register a prospective pupil for entry at an early stage in the admissions process in order to confirm your interest in a place. Once a pupil is registered, parents will receive regular updates keeping them informed about the school. Registration is kept confidential until such time as a reference is required. The registration fee is currently £200.

Entrance Examinations
Entry is by competitive examination, reference and interview at King’s. Overseas candidates may sit the examination at the nearest British Council Office. Please see full details under “Admissions Process and FAQs”.

Confirmation of a Place
A place is confirmed through the payment of a deposit following the offer of a place.

Scholarships and Bursaries
Academic, Music, Art and Sports scholarships are available to Sixth Form entrants. Academic Scholarships can be awarded for outstanding performance in the Sixth Form entrance examination. (See separate panel for full details). Bursaries are also available by individual application.
