Transition to Senior

Years 7 & 8 are crucial and formative years, which officially mark the start of secondary education.

At Junior King’s, pupils remain with us for these years, bridging the gap between the primary years and the more challenging secondary years. We offer pupils a distinct ‘Upper School’ experience which is the perfect place to develop in self-belief, maturity and confidence before moving on at Year 9.

“They’ve got it all here, and we can’t think of many more inspiring places to learn.”

Talk Education

While the majority of our Year 8 pupils move on to the Senior School, some do move on to local grammar schools and other independent schools around the country.

We work closely with parents, giving personal and professional advice, and, by understanding each pupil’s needs, we ensure that the chosen secondary school is the most appropriate setting for their future success.

School Campus

Head just 2 miles from the centre of Canterbury to the village of Sturry, and on a green, 80-acre site by the banks of the River Stour you will find Junior King’s.
