Welcome back to a new academic year at Junior King’s. I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are now looking forward to the term ahead. A particular welcome to our new families and pupils who have started this term, along with our new members of staff. I am sure they will all settle in quickly to life here at Junior King’s and will soon feel very much part of the school community.

The first few days of school has been incredibly uplifting. The pupils appear to be happy and settling well. It is a privilege to be leading the school this term as we prepare for Mr Morgan’s arrival in January. It was a pleasure to take my first assembly this week, where we revisited the values of Junior King’s that we are proud to aspire to and hold. These values of resilience, respect, readiness, responsibility with the thread of kindness running through all that we seek to do, were encapsulated in the story of the ‘giant carrot’ that we related to living and working in our community.
