The King’s Boat Club were in top form at the recent Borne at Chiswick Bridge Regatta.

The two boys’ quads progressed through their first races against Emmanuel School and Sir William Borlase Grammar School to meet in an all-King’s final whilst the girls’ quad, taking part in their first ever race, narrowly lost out to a local Tideway Scullers crew.

The Fifths Coxed Four received a bye to their final, losing out by just half a length to a very strong Kew House crew.

The Senior Boys’ Four raced in the coxed Four, missing out to a Poplar crew but made amends in the Coxless Four, beating Sons of the Thames in the final.

The Senior Girls’ Coxless Four also made their final but just lost out, before the two Coxed Fours again set up an all-King’s final to win another event. The Girls’ Junior Pair then went on to win their event too, concluding a very good day for the King’s Boat Club ahead of the National Schools’ Regatta at the end of May.
