As the first half term of the academic year draws to a close, four of our newest pupils share how they have settled into life at The King’s School Canterbury.
For Ria, taking part in the Cross Country event during her first weeks at King’s played a big part in helping her feel at home. Getting involved early on gave her the chance to meet new people, build friendships, and feel part of the wider school community.
Aaryan admitted he was a little nervous about moving to a much larger school, but any worries quickly disappeared once he experienced how friendly and welcoming everyone was. The supportive atmosphere at King’s helped him settle in with confidence and ease.
Shira has been inspired by the beauty of the school’s setting, finding that the stunning surroundings are already influencing her artwork as she begins her A Level studies. The calm and picturesque environment, she says, has helped her feel both creative and motivated.
Meanwhile, Barney has been amazed by the range of opportunities available at King’s. This term, he discovered a love for rowing and is already looking forward to developing his skills further in the coming months.
Each of these reflections shines a light on a different aspect of life at King’s — from sport and art to friendship and opportunity. Together, they capture what makes The King’s School Canterbury so special: a welcoming community where every pupil is encouraged to thrive and make the most of every experience.
