As we approach the half-term break, it’s a great time to reflect on a vibrant and rewarding seven weeks at Junior King’s. The school settled quickly into the rhythm of the new term, with pupils embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm and energy.

A huge thank you to the many parents who generously volunteered as tour guides during last Saturday’s Open Morning. The event was a tremendous success, with a fantastic turnout of visiting families and we were lucky with the weather! Special thanks to our dedicated Admissions and Marketing team, whose hard work ensured everything ran smoothly.

This week has been especially action-packed. Our various school councils and committees have been busy, with new and returning members bringing fresh ideas. I’ve joined the Catering Committee and look forward to their creative suggestions.

It’s also been a musical week. On Sunday, the Chamber Choir performed beautifully at the Fordwich Civic Service, followed by a moving Evensong at Rochester Cathedral on Tuesday. Thursday’s Brass Workshop showcased the exceptional talent of our young musicians and choristers.

Wednesday saw the Prep School’s exciting Inter-House Cross Country competition, with enthusiastic support from parents. Congratulations to Cockas House for their well-earned victory!

Finally, the early hours of Friday were filled with excitement as pupils departed for the end-of-term trip to Valencia. We look forward to hearing all about their adventures in the next edition of The Week. Huge thanks to the staff leading the trip.
