The Junior King’s school newsletter this week highlights a vibrant and uplifting few days across the school community. Sunshine has made a welcome return, brightening the grounds and allowing children to enjoy the grassed areas once again. Pupils were delighted to rediscover space for outdoor play, and even the first cricket bats of the season made an enthusiastic appearance.

Year 6 parents visited the school this week for meetings with teachers. These conversations proved both informative and reassuring, with many parents sharing positive reflections, particularly regarding the impact of Frozen on pupils in the Middle School.

Music continues to be a defining strength at Junior King’s. Thursday evening’s Ensembles’ Concert showcased an impressive range of musical groups, reflecting the dedication, skill, and joy that permeate the school’s music programme.

This week, the school has also been celebrating different brains and different minds as part of Neurodiversity Week, recognising that every pupil brings their own unique ways of thinking, learning, and creating. The celebration emphasised that neurodiversity is not a challenge to overcome but a strength to value, nurture, and celebrate. Pupils from Years 3 – 8 explored their own abilities through circus skills, music and dance, discovering new ways to express themselves and shine.

This coming Saturday promises to be equally busy. The Pre‑Prep “Enchanted Forest” event is fully booked, and staff look forward to welcoming families into the magical woodland‑themed space. At the same time, Junior King’s will proudly host its first Careers Fair for Upper School pupils, designed to give them valuable insights into different career paths and the working world beyond school.
