May half-term arrived quickly after a busy and rewarding five weeks at Junior King’s. Pupils achieved a great deal both in and out of the classroom. This Junior King’s School Week reflects the energy and commitment seen across the school.

Parents and teachers gathered on Monday evening to hear the Year 8 Scholars’ presentations. Pupils explored topics such as light, sea monsters, the cost of Brexit, and how nature influences engineering. They spoke with clarity and confidence. Each presentation showed strong research and careful preparation, the audience responded warmly, and pupils should feel proud of their efforts.

Year 8 pupils also completed their Modern Foreign Languages speaking exams. They approached the assessments with confidence and focus. These experiences will support them as they move on to senior school. Across the school, pupils tackled their end-of-year assessments with maturity. They showed determination and a positive attitude to their learning.

Pre-Prep pupils performed in a music concert for parents, staff, and peers. They showed enthusiasm and growing confidence on stage. Events like this help pupils develop performance skills and self-belief. Staff prepared the pupils carefully, and the school thanks everyone involved.

Boarders completed their walk from Ramsgate to Margate on Sunday covering just over 15 kilometres and showed strong teamwork. Although they felt tired at the finish, they stayed positive throughout. The group raised more than £2,400 for charity, this result reflects their resilience and commitment.

As half-term begins, the school hopes for sunny weather and a chance to rest. The community looks forward to welcoming pupils back refreshed for the final five weeks of term.
