We are proud to announce that The King’s School Canterbury, in partnership with New Era Education, has broken ground on The King’s School Canterbury, Cairo at IVY, New Sheikh Zayed, marking a significant milestone in the development of one of Egypt’s most prestigious upcoming educational institutions.
The ceremony took place at the school’s future site within IVY, the flagship development by G Developments in New Sheikh Zayed, and was attended by H.E. Mark Bryson-Richardson, British Ambassador to Egypt, alongside senior representatives from King’s, New Era Education, and G Developments. The event also welcomed senior officials from the British Embassy in Cairo, the British Council, and the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT).
This milestone builds on the partnership announced last year, reinforcing a shared vision to bring one of the world’s oldest and most respected educational institutions to Egypt. Recognised among the top 25 private schools in the UK in 2025 by Carfax Education, the Cairo campus will reflect this heritage while delivering a forward-looking British curriculum designed to meet the aspirations of future generations.
