The Lord Lieutenant of Kent, the Lady Colgrain, has appointed a King’s pupil to act as her Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet this academic year.
Pani was selected out of more than 3,000 CCF cadets in Kent for the role and the award is one of the highest that a cadet can achieve.
Cadets are selected for their exceptional leadership potential and must embody the highest values and standards of the cadet forces.
The Lord Lieutenant’s Cadets act as military Aides-de-Camp to the Lord Lieutenant, supporting her personal team at events and otherwise representing the cadet force in the County.
Pani was formally presented with her badge of office and a certificate by the Lord Lieutenant at an awards ceremony held at the Royal School of Military Engineering in Chatham.
Highlights of Pani’s time in the cadets include travelling with the army to the Bavarian mountains to take part in a weeklong adventure training course. She has recently completed a four-day residential leadership course to qualify her for promotion to Cadet Colour Sergeant.
