King’s Week is a unique festival of music, drama, art and recreation that has been held every year in the last week of term since 1952.
This year there were over 200 events. At the Malthouse Theatre, Macbeth performed by a talented cast took centre stage. Our lower school pupils performed Oliver Twist, battling the uncertain weather conditions as they showcased their talents on the open-air stage. KiDaCo, our dance scholarship programme performed an array of pieces from classic ballet to street dance and K-pop.
There were multiple musical performances across the week including, Jazz on A Summer Sunset, The Serenade, Virtuosi, Jazz concert, Acoustic Corner, AC/DC and The Gala Symphony. Other events included the cultural fair, Green Court Finals, the magic show, Art and Photography exhibitions and Hamlet in the Herb Garden.
It was a truly wonderful week and well done to Ms Walton as we look forward to King’s Week 2024.
