King’s Week 2026 brought another outstanding school year at The King’s School Canterbury to a memorable close, with pupils, staff, parents and alumni coming together to celebrate a week of performances, sport, music and community events. Set against a backdrop of exceptionally warm summer weather, the annual festival once again showcased the creativity, talent and spirit that define life at King’s.
Throughout King’s Week 2026, audiences enjoyed an exciting programme of drama, dance and music. Productions of Pinocchio, As You Like It, Come From Away and the pupil-led The Wolves demonstrated the exceptional talent of King’s performers and production teams, while Jazz on a Summer Sunset, The Serenade and the Gala Symphony Concert highlighted the outstanding musical opportunities available at The King’s School Canterbury. KiDaCo also impressed with a series of dynamic performances celebrating both classical and contemporary dance.
The celebrations continued across the School with sporting fixtures, Saturday at Birley’s, Lab on the Lawn, Classic Bikes and the King’s Association Fair, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere throughout the week. Despite the exceptionally hot conditions, pupils embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, whether performing, competing, volunteering or supporting their peers, making King’s Week a fitting celebration of another successful academic year.
A major highlight of King’s Week 2026 was the School’s inaugural King’s Giving Day. Thanks to the generosity of the global King’s community, more than £186,000 has been raised in support of The Charter Awards, the School’s transformational bursary fund. With 446 donors, supporters from 33 countries and 155 messages of encouragement shared throughout the campaign, the Giving Day demonstrated the strength and generosity of the worldwide King’s family. The School extends its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed and looks forward to building on this remarkable success when Giving Day returns in 2028.
King’s Week remains one of the highlights of the academic calendar at The King’s School Canterbury, celebrating achievement, creativity and community while bringing pupils, families and alumni together.
