Anne Pujadas-Telmon joined the International College in January 2025 and currently serves as Acting Joint Principal. Alongside her leadership role, she teaches French and Global Perspectives, bringing both academic expertise and a global outlook to the College community.

From the moment she arrived, Anne was struck by the remarkable diversity of the student body. “I was amazed to see the range of backgrounds our students come from,” she says. “It is inspiring to witness such a rich mix of cultures and experiences within one community.”

This international spirit is something Anne values deeply, both in her professional role and in her personal life. A passionate traveller, she dreams of one day exploring New Zealand by RV and enjoying the freedom of the open road.

Anne believes the International College offers something truly special. “It is a unique environment,” she explains. “Students are supported in a nurturing setting, while also being challenged by high academic expectations. It is rare to find a place that combines personalised education with a genuinely caring atmosphere.”

One of her most memorable experiences so far has been graduation. Watching students grow over the course of the year leaves a lasting impression. “Seeing them develop from when they arrive in September to when they leave in June is extraordinary. They become independent, confident young adults. It is fantastic to witness.”

Working with such an international cohort has also been a learning experience for Anne herself. “I have learned so much from our students, from traditions to food and drinks. It is like travelling the world without leaving the College.”

For new students joining the IC, Anne has a clear message. “Do not hold back. Seize every opportunity at the College. Take part in activities and trips, and make the most of everything available. If you ever feel unsure or homesick, do not hesitate to ask for help. There will always be someone ready to support you.”
