It’s been a busy final week of term, full of festive cheer and community spirit! We enjoyed the Carol Service, the House Song Competition, Junior House and Middle School discos, Christmas lunches, Christmas services, and final assemblies celebrating achievements.

Our Junior King’s community gathered for the annual Carol Service at Canterbury Cathedral. The cathedral was filled with festive spirit, beautiful music and Christmas readings. This special tradition is a highlight of the season. We are so grateful to everyone who made it unforgettable.

Middle School pupils also took part in a Christingle service. This celebration symbolises the light of Christ and the hope, love, and unity shared within our community. During the service, pupils learned about the meaning of each element. They reflected on kindness and togetherness at this time of year.

Our boarders enjoyed a festive dinner with delicious food and wonderful company. The evening was full of laughter and warmth. It created a real sense of togetherness and made the occasion memorable for everyone.

Congratulations to Cockas for winning the 2025 House Song Competition! Each House performed Coldplay’s Viva La Vida with energy and creativity. It was a fantastic celebration of music and teamwork. Well done to Macaws for winning the Parrot award for the term!

Finally, we said farewell to Mr Brotherton and Mr Gotke. They have made a big impact during their time with us. Their dedication and enthusiasm shaped our school community. We presented gifts to show our gratitude. We wish them both the very best for the future and thank them for everything they have done.
