What an amazing time our 39 pupils and staff had on the Junior King’s Ski Trip 2023. Setting off on 2nd January to the snowy slopes of Valmeinier in France, they returned back to school just in time for the new term, maybe a little bit tired, but full of happy memories.
A range of pupils from Years 7 and 8 with a wide array of skiing abilities had a great time enjoying the daily tuition from the five professional instructors and all progressed incredibly well during the course of the trip. There was wonderful support amongst the children and the more advanced skiers also enjoyed time in the resort ‘Snow Park’.
The hotel and staff were exceptional and couldn’t have done more to support the Junior King’s group. They provided a wonderful entertainment package, including ’Crazy Games’, karaoke, a nightly music quiz (which the staff were proud to win on more than one occasion!) and dancing, which everyone enjoyed. The touring party was also treated to an evening of bowling and a visit to a crêperie.
It has been a while since we have had a ski trip, with the last one taking place in March 2016, so we are thrilled that this has resumed. The pupils and staff enjoyed the experience and opportunity immensely with the highlight being waking up to a fresh carpet of snow on their last morning of skiing.
