Following the half term break, pupils returned to Junior King’s refreshed and ready for the exciting countdown to Christmas. The campus is looking stunning in rich autumnal colours, setting the tone for a vibrant few weeks ahead.

During the break, a group of pupils enjoyed a memorable trip to Valencia, where they explored the region’s culture and history. Thanks go to Ms Sanchez Fernandez and the staff who supported the visit. Trip highlights are featured later in the newsletter.

The half term resumed with a spectacular fireworks display, warmly attended by families. Special thanks to Miss Scott-Kilvert for her excellent organisation and leadership.

On Wednesday, Junior King’s hosted the U13 IAPS regional hockey finals at Birley’s. The team played with great skill, reaching the final and earning a place in the national finals, a fantastic achievement that follows the recent success of the U11 team.

The U11 boys also reached the final of the Metherall Cup, narrowly missing out after a tense penalty shootout. Their determination and teamwork were commendable.
