Three Sixth Formers from The King’s School Canterbury took part in the VE Day service at Canterbury Cathedral, contributing with great pride and dignity.
Pani (6b, MR) carried the Lamp of Peace during the ceremony, Noah (6b, MR) bore the CCF banner as part of the procession of service organisations, and Lily (6b, LX) delivered a thoughtful and well-spoken prayer. The service was a moving tribute to those who served in the Second World War, and the pupils’ contributions were deeply appreciated by all in attendance.
Several veterans commented that they mistook our pupils for real soldiers – a testament to their poise, presence, and the way they carried themselves throughout the evening.
King’s is proud of the way they represented the school with such dignity and spirit.
