On Saturday, we observed the official opening of the school’s new science building, The Rausing Science Centre. Plant biologist, Professor Sarah Gurr (SH 1974-76), returned to King’s to formally open the building, located opposite her former boarding house. Not only one of the School’s first girls, Sarah was also one of the School’s first A-level scientists. It was an honour to have her at the event and hear about her career in science since King’s.
Over 100 guests including OKS, donors, parents, staff and friends of the school were there and enjoyed lunch and tours of the new building. Thank you to everyone who donated and made the new science building possible.
