Half term is upon us already and we look forward to a typically busy end to our school year, where the pupils will enjoy many end of year activities. It marks the nearing of the end of our wonderful Year 8’s journey through Junior King’s, and I hope that they will cherish these last moments in school before departing to new and exciting ventures.

Our boarding community continues to thrive. Last weekend, the boarders enjoyed a fund-raising walk along the Viking Coastal Way raising funds for the RNLI. More details, and photographs, can be seen later in this edition.

Our revised Flexi-boarding offering has been an incredible success this year, with nearly 50 pupils joining our full boarders during the last few terms. Pupils enjoy the homely, welcoming boarding houses and, if this is something you wish to consider for your children, please contact Liz Hutchings to find out why boarding is so much fun!

The Week is a special production that we know brings enjoyment to many, and we continue to evolve the content on offer. We are introducing a regular ‘Curriculum Focus’ that will give more insight in to the wonderful learning opportunities on offer to our pupils. This week’s offering is Science!
