Welcome back to a new school year! I hope you all had a wonderful summer and were able to enjoy the sunshine, which, on the whole, was rather kind to us!

It has been a joy to see the pupils return with such enthusiasm. Any first day nerves quickly disappeared as they settled confidently into their new classrooms and routines.

A special well done to our boarders, who returned ahead of term starting on Monday and Tuesday.  It always takes a little time to adjust, but they’ve already begun to re-establish their routines, wonderfully supported by our dedicated boarding house staff.

We have also welcomed new children and families into the Junior King’s community.  It was heartening to see our mentors and buddies helping new pupils feel at home. On Wednesday, we held our first Prep School assembly, where we spoke about planting seeds in our hearts and nurturing them through our actions. These seeds represent the values we hold dear: respect, resilience, readiness, responsibility, and kindness.  These qualities we aspire to live by every day at Junior King’s.
