We had a beautiful day last Saturday to enjoy the fête as we rolled in to our Exeat for the Bank Holiday. The school orchard and surrounds were a hive of activity as we enjoyed over 50 stalls prepared by pupils, staff, parents and friends of the school. Thank you to you all who made such huge efforts to donate and help during the morning. My thanks also to Mrs Marais and the staff team who worked hard behind the scenes to make the day such a success. At the same time we were raising funds for charities and a full report can be found later in this newsletter – I know we raised a significant sum, so again thank you for the generosity shown.
The glorious weather is also assisting our ability to show off the school for our open mornings. This morning, we had many visiting parents touring the Pre-Prep and on Saturday we welcome over 50 guests to tour the Prep School. Recruitment has been strong this year – we currently have 26 pupils more in school than at the start of the academic year. Having been at the Boarding Schools’ Association Conference this week, we are certainly bucking the national trend. Our reputation for excellent educational and pastoral outcomes for pupils continues to be strong throughout the region, country and indeed overseas. Thank you to all our parent helpers over these days – your input is always greatly appreciated and valued.
