The school has looked particularly impressive this week as the Summer Term begins. Blossoms are in full bloom and the grounds are alive with activity. The grass tennis courts are freshly marked and ready for play, the sound of tennis balls once again fills the air.

Pupils took part in a wide range of engaging activities across the school. On Monday, the Science Dome visited the school. The experience sparked curiosity and prompted many discussions both in lessons and beyond the classroom.

Year 4 pupils enjoyed a memorable visit to the Roman Museum. They explored the lasting influence of Roman culture on Canterbury and discovered how much of the city’s modern character can be traced back to Roman times.

All pupil committees met on Monday to share their thoughts and feedback. Pupil voice remains central to the ethos of Junior King’s, allowing pupils to suggest improvements that benefit the whole community.

Boarders made the most of the warmer weather and longer evenings. They have enjoyed using the swimming pool and cycling around the school’s extensive grounds, making full use of the facilities available to them.

Excitement continues to build ahead of the school fête this Saturday. The number of bottles donated for the tombola has been extremely encouraging and reflects the strong support from the school community.

This weekend also brings the much‑anticipated Friends’ Ball which is expected to be a highlight of the social calendar. The school thanks the Friends for the dedication and effort put into organising the event.
