Remove Geography Trip: Summer 2015
At the beginning of Summer term, the Geography department took 72 Remove pupils studying Geography for GCSE on a school trip to the Kent Coastline. They looked at coastal process, coastal management and how the two locations of St. Margaret’s Bay (Deal/Dover) and Whitstable Bay differ. The Geographers also attended a Field Studies centre at Horton Kirby, Sevenoaks where they looked at the River Darent drainage basin, measuring river channel characteristics and undertaking a hedgerow ecosystem study.
It was a fantastically fun trip for all involved where the pupils were able to experience geographical phenomenon’s first hand.
