A rowing gold for OKS Tom Ransley
Former pupil, Tom Ransley (Marlowe House 1999-2004), recently won gold at the European Rowing Championships in Poznan with Nathaniel O’Donnell, Alan Sinclair and Scott Durant.
Tom’s most recent success comes after winning bronze at the 2012 London Olympics as part of the men’s eight team. He also had the opportunity to carry the Olympic torch through Pickering, Yorkshire in June.
During the 2012 Rowing World Cup Series, Tom also raced in the men’s eight in Belgrade, Serbia and Lucerne, Switzerland. The crew won silver in both events.
