A weekend in Bruges!
The King’s School Boat Club spent a weekend in Bruges, racing 5km on both days in preparation for the Schools’ Head in March.
On Saturday three Eights raced, with The Girls’ Eight coming second to a strong Ghent Eight and the Boys’ Eight coming fourth in the Junior Eights. After a fabulous reception in the historic Bruges Town Hall on Saturday evening, the Sunday race was in Fours.
The top Boys’ Four stormed to victory, whilst also being the third fastest boat of the day with the two other Fours coming in second and third in the event. The girls’coxed quad came down the track winning their event as well.
This was a great weekend of racing over a tough course. Meanwhile at the lake, the Boat Club hosted local club Maidstone Invicta with some training and competitive racing for the Shell boys and girls.
