Breakfast like Kings!
A group of fifteen excited breakfast clubbers from St John’s CEP School went to have breakfast at King’s School. Every morning three King’s school student volunteers go to St John’s to help with their breakfast club; eating with the children, helping them to wash up and then reading and playing quiet games with them before school starts.
The children were very excited to see where their friends from King’s have their breakfast and were wowed by the amazing choice. There were lots of plates full of bacon and eggs, which were soon emptied as they sat and chatted to the King’s volunteers.
The pupils were accompanied by members of staff from St John’s who all enjoyed their visit. Each child was given a wooden egg cup to decorate at breakfast club during the week and left discussing new breakfast options with their breakfast club staff on their walk back to school.
