Charlie selected for Oxbridge Varsity Match in first year
Our former Captain of School Charlie Watson (OKS Carlyon, 2013-18) has been selected for the Cambridge University XV in the 2019 Rugby Varsity Match.
It’s a rare achievement for a student in their fresher year to start the prestigious fixture and shows how highly valued the 19-year-old is, having made his debut for the Saracens First XV and been called up to the England Under-20 squad already this season.
Charlie, who is reading Natural Sciences at Selwyn College after gaining four A*s at A Level, has been named at inside centre and will line up at Twickenham Stadium on December 12.
