Entrepreneur Dinesh Dhamija (OKS) to give King’s Talk
This week’s King’s Talk will be delivered on Wednesday evening by Dinesh Dhamija (OKS) who will share his experience as an entrepreneur.
Dinesh was in The Grange at King’s from 1968-69 before graduating from the University of Cambridge, IMD Business School Lausanne and Harvard Business School.
In 1980, he started Dabin Travel from a tiny kiosk in Earls Court station and through much hard work, grew this business into ebookers.com, a Nasdaq and FTSE250 listed company. The company reached sales of US$1bn, employed 2,000 and had offices in 12 countries before Dinesh sold in 2005.
Dinesh then became inspired to make a difference in society and is now a business advisor using his expertise to help others by working in the charity sector. He also joined the Liberal Democrat party in 2014, becoming a Member of the European Parliament.
