Fencing: U18 GB Champions
The U18 fencing quartet of Oliver Hope (SH), James Odgers (SH), Hugo Smith (LN) and Alexander Sy-Quia (GR) overcame some difficult opposition to take the coveted crown of U18 Great Britain champions.
The early group rounds saw victory over Millfield (45-23) and a convincing win over RGS Guildford (45-13) allowing safe passage through to the knockout rounds.
St Benedict’s offered up more of a challenge but the boys outfenced them (45-30) to take them through to the semi finals.
Another match against Millfield and another victory (45-29) set up a final against the Lycée Charles de Gaulle in South Kensington. A great performance all round saw King’s take the title, winning 45-27.
