Freddie Allinson wins gold at European Rowing U23 Championships
Freddie Allinson (OKS 2012-17, School House) won a gold medal at the European Rowing Under-23 Championships last weekend.
Competing with the Men’s Eight in the final race of the championships, Freddie helped the GB boat to victory by three-quarters of a length.
Pete Sheppard, the GB Rowing Team’s Chief Coach for U23s and Juniors, said: “In all this young team, who in many cases were making their international debuts, excelled to produce GB’s best-ever set of U23 Europeans results. They delivered what they had been demonstrating in training back in the UK.”
Freddie regularly competed for the school and spent many hours down at the King’s Boat House during his time in Canterbury, so it fills us with pride to see his continued success.
