The King’s School Harvey Science Society welcomed Angelos Chatsidiakos, Engineering consultant at Ramboll UK Limited, who introduced some of the large scale engineering challenges that will need to be considered in the future looking, for example, at how heat energy can be used more efficiently in cities.
As one of the world’s leading district heating consultancies, Ramboll has more than 30 years of experience from projects in more than 25 countries. As cities aim to be carbon neutral, district heating and cooling systems become more important than ever. In recent years they have also actively engaged themselves in several district cooling projects.
The event was well attended with pupils from schools around East Kent present.
