House Song 2015

The annual House Song competition took place in The Shirley Hall yesterday evening where the 13 boarding and 3 days houses competed against each other to be crowned the victors.

The girls’ houses (Bailey, Broughton, Harvey House, Jervis, Kingsdown, Luxmoore & Walpole) sung a variety of songs from Can you feel the love tonight by Elton John to I’m yours by Jason Mraz.

The boys’ (Galpin’s, Linacre, Meister Omers, The Grange, School House, Tradescant) provided the audience with songs ranging from Baby by Justin Bieber to Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles whilst the day houses (Carlyon, Marlowe & Mitchinson’s) presented their renditions of Home by Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Send me on my way by Rusted Root and Brown eyed girl by Van Morrison.

Guest judges included David Woodcock, Director of Music at Harrow School and Alex Caldon, professional trumpeter.

Joint third place went to Luxmoore and Broughton with Jervis taking second position.
