I/GCSE Results

The Fifth Form at The King’s School, Canterbury have landed a very good set of I/GCSE results today, ones which will launch them on interesting and successful careers in our Sixth Form from September. Despite being a large (153) year group, no fewer than 48.2% of the grades awarded were at A*, the second highest total in the school’s long history. Similarly the percentage of A*-A, at 76.9% was the second highest in recent times.

The statistics, of course, cannot reflect the successes at the individual level, particularly for many hard working pupils who were rewarded across the A*-C range. These successes highlight the tremendous value-added and dedicated teaching my colleagues bring to King’s families.

It is also a year group which pursues the wider – sporting, musical and artistic – goals of a King’s education: its numbers contain promising young rowers, talented musicians and rising stars of the stage!
