King’s Talks: Inside No. 10

The Politics Society hosted Baroness Kate Fall OKS (Walpole House, 1983 to 1985), who was the Deputy Chief of Staff to David Cameron when he was Prime Minister. Her talk ‘Inside No 10’ gave a clear and personal account of the ‘Cameron Years’ and a real insight into the workings of No. 10 and how the core executive functions.  Her talk struck an instant chord with our pupils, not least in how she portrayed the human side of politics. In answer to a question in the lively Q & A session, Baroness Fall did admit that she certainly does miss No 10’s Larry the Cat! This was Baroness Fall’s first visit back to King’s and it was a true privilege and honour to have her as our guest.

Baroness Kate Fall has been a Partner at Brunswick, a leading PR firm, since November 2016, and is a member of the House of Lords and a Trustee of Atlantic Partnership. She was deputy chief of staff to David Cameron for six years while he was the British Prime Minister and for five years when he was Leader of the Opposition.
