King’s participates in World Kindness Day 2020
Here at King’s, we’re taking part in World Kindness Day on Friday the 13th of November. Members of the school community are encouraged to show random acts of kindness in any way they choose.
Pupils and staff can ‘pay it forward’ at the Pupil Social Centre by buying a coffee which will be given to an unknown customer later in the day, write a letter to brighten the mood of a care home resident, or simply pay someone an unexpected compliment.
Kindness has always been an important part of life at King’s as we aim to foster a compassionate, outward-looking view of the world.
The day also coincides with the appointment of Millie Lark (Walpole, 6a) as Chair of the Charity Committee for 2020-21. Millie, who is Head of Walpole House, will lead the Committee in raising money and resources for local charities, and facilitating a community vote to select a School Charity of the Term for each period of the academic year.
