King’s Rec manager wins Coach of the Year at Basketball England Volunteer Awards
The King’s Recreation Centre manager Clare Reed has been named Coach of the Year at the 2019 Basketball England Volunteer Awards.
Clare was presented the award on Saturday in Manchester for her passion and commitment to promoting ladies basketball and the work she does to ensure women stay in the sport.
During her time running two teams for Herne Bay Ladies Basketball Club, where she has been a member for 30 years, she has been credited with forming a fun, warm, communal environment in which players can thrive.
She has also helped coach the Kent Girls Basketball under-11 and under-13 teams over the last three years.
