King’s reflects on the ups & downs of COVID-19 pandemic with minute’s silence

The King’s community joined the nationwide minute’s silence to recognise the one-year anniversary of the start of the first lockdown.

Although we did not gather physically, we remembered all those who have lost their lives to COVID-19 and acknowledged the brave work of our NHS staff and volunteers in protecting the vulnerable from the disease.

The Headmaster also urged pupils and staff to reflect on the good that has come from our adversity. At King’s, we are proud of the unity and dedication shown across the school which resulted in the strong academic programme and diverse co-curricular opportunities rolled out under the King’s Education Online.

We hope our advancements in digital communications and resources will help pupils benefit even more from their education in Canterbury as we emerge from the pandemic, just as we hope wider society will emerge more unified, stronger and happier.
