King’s Talk – Shooting Dogs
As part of the ongoing King’s Talk programme on Tuesday 27th January at 7.30pm the Politics department will be screening the film ‘Shooting Dogs’.
2015 marks the tenth anniversary for the film that focuses on the Rwandan Genocide of 1994 where some 500,000 to 1 million Rwandans were killed during an approximate 100 day period.
Produced and co-written by BBC News producer David Belton, who worked in Rwanda at the time, the film is inspired by his experiences covering the genocide first hand.
Later in the term David will be talking about his book ‘When The Hills Ask For Your Blood: A Personal Story of Rwanda and Genocide’.
