King’s Talk: Sir Hugh Robertson
As part of the King’s Talk Programme on Friday 6th March at 7:30 p.m. in the School Room there will be a ‘Question and Answer’ Session with the Rt Hon Sir Hugh Robertson MP, OKS.
Topics of discussion will include top of the agenda the 2015 General Election and we will also cover the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics and also policy in the Middle East.
Sir Hugh Robertson, KCMG, has been the MP for Faversham and Mid Kent since 2001. Until July 2014 he was a Minister of State at The Foreign and Commonwealth Office responsible for The Middle East, North Africa and Counter Terrorism, and was previously the Minister for Sport and for the Olympics and was the the Minister with day-to-day responsibility for the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games. He served as an officer in the Life Guards from 1982-95 and saw active service in Northern Ireland, Cyprus, the Gulf War and served with UNPROFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 1995 until 2001, he was a banker with Shroders. He is an OKS.
