Luxmoore crowned House Song champions
Luxmoore won our annual House Song competition, which an external adjudicator described as the best he’s seen in any school.
Mark Shepherd, director of music at Charterhouse, has judged house singing competitions across the country, but said none could match the quality that was on show on Thursday evening.
The winners’ rendition of ‘Shine’ by Take That earned them top spot, while Walpole came second with ‘The Chain’ by Fleetwood Mac and Meister Omers finished third with ‘I want you back’ by The Jackson 5.
Harvey House were also commended for their performance of ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ by Elton John.
The competition is one of the highlights of the year, with every pupil in the school participating and all arrangements and directions organised by students.
