Marie cycles 95km to Nha Trang

Marie has completed an amazing 95km bike ride through villages and breath taking sea views to reach Nha Trang in Vietnam. She did 75km in the morning in four stages: 20km, 20km, 15km and 20km, leaving only 20km for the afternoon, as she raced against the rest of the team. She is proud to say that her average speed for the last 10km was 32km/hour. Admittedly, this was on flat ground!

Marie’s guide took her to a local seafood restaurant that looked like a shack, where there were small barbecues on the dinner tables. She ate tiger prawns, squid and swordfish. It was ‘Après l’effort, le réconfort’, as one would say when in France. The photo is of sea houses, underneath which they breed lobsters.

Marie and her sister Henrietta have now raised over £4000 for Young Minds Trust.
