Mr Crane receives Lord Lieutenant’s Meritorious Service Award

WO1 (RSM) David Crane, who works with our CCF unit, received the Lord Lieutenant’s Meritorious Service Award for his outstanding service as an SSI last Wednesday.

The award was in recognition of his distinguished career spanning 40 years (25 years in the regular army and 15 years within the cadet force).

He has dedicated his life to serving others, putting people’s needs before his own and displaying selfless commitment in all he does. As well as his work in uniform, Mr Crane has led the way in improving the school’s First Aid provisions.

His qualities combined with his natural charisma make Mr Crane an exceptionally valuable member to any team and an outstanding ambassador for the cadet movement.

Major Vintner, our CCF Contingent Commander, commented: “As a school CCF, we are privileged to have him as our SSI and have noticed what a difference a Dave makes.”
