OKS King’s Talk: Frances Houghton to speak on learnings from 5 Olympics
Frances Houghton (OKS, Walpole 1993-98) will be joining us for an online King’s Talk on Thursday evening to discuss the lessons she’s learnt from competing in five Olympic games.
The former Great Britain rower showed an obvious passion for her sport during her school years and went on to enjoy a long, illustrious career.
Frances was selected to compete at every Olympics between 2000 and 2016, picking up three Silver medals. Such longevity in a sport known for brutal and relentless training programmes takes extreme dedication, professionalism and resilience.
